Combining the minimalism of nature with state of the art technology

In the recently published episode of “Platon Cafe”, a series of programmes on scientific PlatonTV, Błażej Oczkowski talked to Theresa Schubert about conceptual art and new technologies. Theresa held an artistic residency at VERTIGO STARTS and participated in the Immersify project using the infrastructure of PSNC – Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center as well as Spin Digital codecs. The result of her work is “Immersive minimalism” and a preview of it was shown in September 2019 at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz. In an interview with Błażej, Theresa talks about conceptual art, her experiences with new technologies, including 8K and laser scanning, and how these technologies can be helpful in the artist’s work.
