CineEurope is the longest-running European tradeshow and convention for the cinema industry. During its 2019 edition in Barcelona from June 17-20, the IMMERSIFY project was hosted by the Creative Europe Media stand from the European Commission to disseminate the project to the cinema industry.
On the Creative Europe Media stand Cécile Dumas from Marché du Film- Festival de Cannes gave a general presentation of the IMMERSIFY project, reminding the objectives and the partners and describing the main research and actions. She focused too on the co-immersive spaces and the immersive experiences in the cinema.
Being there was also a good occasion to benchmark the latest innovations of screening and cinema exhibition technologies, particularly in the field of immersive experiences in the cinema industry. In CineEurope, we understand that immersion is a real challenge for the movie theaters and the entertainment industry.
